When you configure a new performance plan profile, you must select a taxonomy to define your node hierarchy.  The node hierarchy provides a navigation structure to help group your indicators.  The structure you choose depends on your plan.  Following is an example structure:

Programme one

    Indicator one

    Indicator two

    Indicator three

Programme two

    Indicator four

    Indicator five

    Indicator six

This example is a two level structure.  There are two 'programme' nodes at the first level and six 'indicator' nodes at the second level.  The structure you select has the following implications:

  • It provides a navigation structure to group your indicators
  • The same structure will appear in your reports
  • You may assign different user roles to each node (which means different people can be responsible to capture and authorise data on different nodes)
  • You may also choose to further disaggregate indicator data for a node.  This is useful when - for example - you need to disaggregate by district and you want to assign responsibility to enter data to a different person for each district
